March 26 +*¨^¨*+ ¤ Our Kingfisher +*¨^¨*+ ¤Our Kingfisher~*
It's been almost a week here at Pensacola, Florida.
Most of things we do here is that finding some other jobs to gain more money before turning our heads back to Thailand.
It's kind of things for normal people<not the rich> do to compensate back to their parents.
Me niether! It takes a lot of money to be here and there's only one thing to do in return and that is "work even harder"
Our lives in Pensacola exspecially mine spend a lot of time on doing job. Our house in Kingfisher is only the place to keep us warm and away from suck people. I'd like to tell a story about mine here in Pensacola. Actually in the local Pine foreset. When I first came here, the feeling went suprisingly when I first saw the house.
It was full of craps, only Thai people in the house so who else I'm going to talk with in English. Where can I practise it!. There were four, five Thai people actually included the Russian but later on she moved away. They seemed unfriendly at real first.
You know it's kind of separation to someone who is new! Therefore I felt really upset and wanted to stay with my friends who came along together from Thailand.
But soon after it was different, I'll you that later on.
Pang, Yok and I moved in and then we talked. Things went more worse because they have their own way of thoughts.
Three of us consulted each other and we had to trim things up and get along with them because we have no other choices. Two days later we went well and things got better.
We have our own room and even the restroom is our own as well.
I didn't really want to have them actually but those people said it would be fine for them if we have them.<Do you get what I mention?>
We all cleaned the house and kind of rebuild it because those people who lived here were really miserable you know they did nothing except ruined everthing down.
We watched, cleaned, tidied up, clearenced mess etc... Well it's a good idea to have a schedule of duties in the house.
I decided to make it once but those people said that they would do it for us because we can cook so that they will be the maintenance. That's fine!
After that two days, almost of us went to downtown, the place that is much civilized than ours to find some other jobs. We rode the bikes and it's complicated to ride on the right hand side.
We kept going by riding it on the Detroit Rd., which is called the most dangerous road for any riders<I know it later on> The villege and surrounging were really quiet.
There were only dogs instead of human and that's why it's the most dangersous ones.
No one should walk around there. We stopped to take some photos and rested. Actually Yok, Pang and I were quickly riding the bikes so that we didn't stop much.
We applied for Chinese restuarant, Everything one dollar shop and probably Subway.
When we returned back home there was nothing we can do except sitting and sleeping and that because we were too tired. We cooked and separately went back to our onw rooms.
March 22 +*¨^¨*+ My Pensacola +*¨^¨*+My Pensacola~*
It's been such a long time that I haven't written anything into this space. That was because I gave all of my time doing hard work on studying and also approaching for the work and travel program in USA. It's been really hard time to come into here, there were lots of things to be done and I only had to give them time to finish. For example, assightments were the hardest things to be done that because of they worked by group and then works which were given out were really be collected back real late. So that everthing messed up. The other thing is preparation for the final test. It kept me to dawn almost a term.
Well that was life. One more term to go!! cheer up man!!
Right now I'm in Pensacola, Florida. It's been almost a week by now. Start working tomorrow.
Ok tired to do it now.
See you later on. January 12 +*¨^¨*+ ¤ Going to BKK +*¨^¨*+ ¤My Weekend~*
I'm going to BKK tomorrow. Hope to see guys over there!
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
More pictures are coming like Santa's coming to town.
PS>>> Love you always, you know who you are~* January 08 +=_*"^"*_=+ The coutdown Party +=_*"^"*_=+The countdown party@ Tah-lou island~*
Last week actually I didn't turn back to my home town like I always do.
The SU student club asked me to help them as the master of the ceremony at the New Year countdown party at Tah-lou island. They arraged things, equipments, badge and also vehicle for us. After coming back from the volunteer only one day, I studied and waited for P'Pao to come to pick us up.
Firstly he said that he would come to us at noon but he was too busy doing his company at Hua-Hin then he came to us at about 6 in the evening. A gigantic van came up and picked us to Hua-Hin. We waited for our company rushing down from Bangkok. There were sixteen of the team. I watched 3 movies while wait for those. A bit boring and felt really sleepy.
Soon after, they turned up and we started to head to the Tah-Lou pier at about the end of Prajoubkirikhan. We stopped once for dinner, guess of the time?? approx 3 in the morning!!
When we reached the pier, the accommodation was provided for us. We took a nap!
I woke up earlier to see the sunrise and lucky me it turned up. So proud of Thailand wa~*
We took a bath and got ready to move across the sea.
It took us about half an hour to cross over. The sea wasn't bumppy and was really nice windy. At first we reached there, the water was so greenny. I could see through the water to the sea ground. The surface was calm and very smooth.
I loved the food there. They have never ever changed. The taste was as same as it used to exspecially Kang Lueang. Yummy!! We slept in the 9th house of Mook bay. I think this bay was made for Thai specially because the houses were made of wood and also accommodated by Thai style, consisted of mosquito net, traditional lamp, opened bath and nice balcony, the place we played cards for last two years.
This year Tah-Lou island has developed and been funished a lot. For example, the yacht club has operated, more canoes, bar by the sea, more different style of the rooms and also more workers.
Day 30th
We tidied up the area and also talked about the agenda for the next day. We discovered the area, plotted where to put the electricity on, arranged for food and people too. After that I went into the sea with Pang, MooMoo and Mim.
We canoed around the snokelling area. I really love the color before the sun heading down to the west. Actually we felt tired and wanted to sleep. Someone called me in the depth of the night so I woke up to talk to him. Wanna kill him.
Day 31st
We could wake up late because the party was going to start at about 9 pm. We went snokelling with the other tourists. There was a couple of lovers which the boy onse was really cute, my spect eieieiei. There were heap of the tiger fish under the water. The water was really clear and warm for people to search underworld.
When we got to the shore, we built up the castle like the old days. It was quite funny and we made new friends, N'Poo and N'Pee children who came with their parents.
We warmed up the sounds and the radio things. I invited the tourists by the microphone. I felt really silly hearing my voice from the speaker. We did the karaoke, Thai traditional dance, lamp releasing, firework performance and the feast. I smoothly carried the party and held it well as cool as I can. I thought the foreiners to countdown in Thai.
Finally lots of the tourists got drunk from frech bear provided for them. The taem had many jugs of them as well. Then lastly the dance floor took off!
A new year
I woke up happily with about 40 masseges that I got from last night and today. We had our last nice breakfast and seperated came back with the different speedboats.
Thank you:~*
Khun Preeda Chareunpak for accommodation and delicous food.
P'Pao, P'Phat, P'M and the Geostage teamwork. You guys rock!
MAMEE to let me be over there.
Yok who is here for me quite often~*
"THANK YOU VERY MUCH"
PS
YEah YEah....
At last, I could catch up to date by now....see you later na~* January 06 +=_*"^"*_=+ National Volunteer +=_*"^"*_=+National Volunteer~*
As I mentioned before about being a national volunteer,
I was it recently in the one year in the memory of tsunami in Phuket. After all of the progresses to be a volunteer, the day I'm looking forward to is came. I was given the volunteer suit before going to Phuket. The day before going there Pang, Pep, Kim and I went to the Gift festival. Held by the architecture faculty of my own university. The theme of ths festival this year was gift "festiver". I spent a thousand baht for things there. We slept in Kim's place..
Real first day~*
Woke up at about 4.30 am then went off to the Umporn park to the bus. There were not many of the volunteer there. We found out that the buses were going to take off about 7 am. We felt terrible extremely. p'Bob and I are going to welcome the VIP guesses so both of us were sitting in the same bus. We're on the 6th ones.
Kim and Pang were together on the 1st and Pep was on the 4th(probably). We headed to Phuket at 7.30 am. Nice!!
While on the bus, lots of people there were quite really good at languages excepted me...
They spoke other languages such as Chinese, French and Japanese which made me feel terrible!! It took us about 13 hours from Bangkok to Phuket. We stopped a lot because of the weather. Toilets were full of us. The buses seperated into groups. Not all of us are going to stay in the same hotel. There were 3 groups of us, one was going to stay in Phang - gha and the other one was going to stay in Pha-tong and I was going to stay in Phuket Town Inn hotel where was really sucks!!
We arrived there at about 7 in the evening. I walked around the hotel to see where else I could go for dinner and walking. I found a pub called Oxigen but the local said that it's too poor to get in. So I came back to the hotel did nothing until all of us were taken to breif for the program tomorrow. Everyone was devided for the job description excepted for the VIP job because we only have to do on the 26th night so we don't have to go anywhere.
**********
24th December 2005~*
Today I went with Pand and Kim' bus to the Pha-tong beach. Kim and Pang have to work here. We walked around the place which is going to be the very important ceremony. In the morning of every places that involved by the tsunami has a schedule. Firstly, placing flowers to recall for the deaths. Then signing in to the memorial book. Lots of the visitors came up with tear, quite sad and upset for the volunteer. In the mean time, that's the programme but the government sent the laborer to prepare the place before the day be.
After breifing and learning how to deal with the guesses, we bought postcards to send to our friends back at the university. People around town told us that government didn't pay any compensation to the local but only for the other big guys over there. Poor them and they also lost their courage. Some of them couldn't come back there again because of the horror and disaster.
After having luch along the sea shore, we went to central festival in Phuket. I didn't buy any thing much but s sleeping back. Then soon after we went to Ta-chalom temple to respect to Loung Por Champ. Then went back to the hotel. Tis night we went to the Pirate club at Pah-tong beach. It's Chritmas Eve, I got drunk easily because of the tired feeling.
25th December 2005~*
The VIP job' volunteer all together went to Su Sarn Mai Kao cemetery to help volunteer there tidy up the place and also prepare the area for the next day. I read the masseges on the memorial wall which people wrote to tell family ,friends and the deaths. They made me cry. There was a really sad one saying about the warm family who lost their daughter. They sad they're happy that you have died in the very gorgeous place such in Thailand. They'll after you to heaven! I was reall touched.
26th December 2005 The ceremony day~*
I woke up late in the after noon. The arragement said that we were supposed to be at The le Meridian hotel at about 3 in the evening. So we went off at 1 pm. The Le Meridian was really nice and well-known for the foriegners.
When the VIP guesses came we only had to tell them where to sit where the way to the ball room. That's my volunteer job. Easy isn't it. I thought that the government has paid me to travel over there. When we got to the hotel, the thank you party was held. We were too tired to join so we went to bed earlier. My room mates went out for party. I surprised how could they gain the power from. Tough guys!!
27th December 2005~*
We came back to the university approximately 2.30 in the morning.
What has the volunteer gave me:
lots of friends.
how to deal with the other people.
friendship
money of course
A heart of Thai!!
December 09 +=_*"^"*_=+ Ecolism +=_*"^"*_=+MY PAH-TOE~*
It's been a long time to turn up in here, I have been kind of setting myself into the "busy status" for the past 2-3 weeks time!
First of the things I'm going to write about is........
Last weekend I went to PAH-TOE in Chumporn with my friends.
Ple was the person who arraged everything because she knows a lot about PAH-TOE by visiting there last term(Probably)
We waited for the van for hours and finally it appeared approximately 1 o'clock in the early morning.
By the way while we're waiting for the van, all of us were expected to see the sea of frost there.
While we're in the van, about 3 am. in the morning and we headed to Chumporn, we were trapped in the flood. The water were running across the steet heavily and we were all afraid that we couldn't reach to PAH-TOE.
Luckily our van was high enough to pass through.
To be continue~*
Approximately 8 o'clock in the morning we arrived there. It rained a bit but the weather was really cold but awesome!!
We waited for the person taking us up to the hill at the PAH-TOE information center. About 30 minutes he came and picked us up. He was the head of the BANN KLONG RUA village. Coming with his red truck was making us feel exiting because you know this time we travel is kind of adventure tourism!! cool isn't it??
PAH-TOE~*
Day 1~*
When we get there. It was quite rained. Firstly at the Klong Rua village we met the teacher called "Kru Aoun" he guided us how to stay and the programme we were going to attain. Then we had a cup of coffee.
It's the villager's product, they grow fresh coffee for the wisdom industry. It smelled very nice and reall tastety to drink. The cup was specific for this kind of coffee, made of bamboo.I could feel the bamboo smell. The villager showed us how to produce the coffee product. It's complecated to tell here if you interested to know call me!
We got one of the cup. Soon after, the canoeing was waiting for us. We walked about a kilo to the river's edge where we were going down to the adventure.
It's a bamboo canoe, cintaining 6-8 of us each. First we splashed water onto ourselves. Very cold man!
The route was about one and a half kilo. Along the river, the padder pawed us the SOM-O as a snack. All of us went into the river by fallen and because of the rough route as well.
After all we went to the village by walking too. We were going to sleep at the school's playground. We showered in the stream falling from the core of the waterfall. The water was quite cool and felt very chilled out!
The dinner served with wisdom vegetables, NUM-PRICK, traditional soup (actually was really spicy but they called Soup) and rice cooked from the bamboo. At the end of the day, we slept in the tent. Before going to sleep we drank white alcohol with the villagers. We had a game of gambling and went to bed together.
Day 2~*
None of us woke up for the sunrise excepted me. At dawn I woke up for the sunrise but couldn't see it because of the too many clouds. Only thing I could see and feel was the frost. It covered all over the village I took the picture of it if you guys out there wish to see it just go to my photos icon! It wasn't as good as I expected but very nice ones.
Then all of us woke up by the other's people voices. They came to have breakfast aroud our tent. About the meals I won't write about them any more because they were very nice and delicious. No where I could have them like here at PAH-TOE.
We didn't have a shower, on time for it!!! eieieieieiei...
After clean our stuff, we went to the school which closed to our accommodation. We painted T-shirt for the students. They have alittle chance to have a study and also not enough money for their food. What I painted is showed in the photo. It's about the symbol of the village. Thing they do and have. I love the Klong Rua.
After that we had to walk to the HOUW-TA-CHAN waterfall. It's 6 kilo repeating by the KAREIANG's culculate. Along the way there was the pure nature. The route was made by the villager wothout disturbing the environment. Suitng to the concept of ecotourism.
I felt really tired but when I met the waterfall everything was changed. It's very very very beautiful and marvellous. We could go into the water's certain. Feeling the cold water, touching the smooth rocks and talking things we love to while laying in the moving water was unforgetable. It made me love it more.
Day 3~*
I woke up sorely after visiting the HOUW-TA-CHAN waterfall. The program today was go up the hill about half a kilo to watch a special lotus called " BUA-PUD" Unhopefully, fortunately we could only see then while they were still unbloomed. That because of the rainy season.
Then we stucked by rain in the host of the village house.
Finally we went back to the place we stay. The last feast was made for us and was really delicious. The same person came up to pick us up. We told people there that we promise to give KLONG RUA a visit for sure.
PS~* After visiting there I had a wound by a RAN warm. Keep me sore and pain for it. Damn it!! November 28 +=_*"^"*_=+ November Spring +=_*"^"*_=+I have looked for the accessories for the blog for a long time.
At last too tired to create such a thing.
***********
Let start with this November, it's the one I love the most out of the months.
Getting colder makes me feel brand new.
It started to be cold last 3-4 days but by now is getting hotter and hotter.
I'm sad, I love the shiver.
******
Last week and this week are the SMA festival.
People from different majors and facultys come to compete each other.
Man!, too lazy too lazy too lazy to write things. If I have more time, I'll finish it!
Poor me wa~* November 23 +=_*"^"*_=+ U volunteer +=_*"^"*_=+ Have you ever heard of "U Volunteer"?? I guessed not because it has been operated lately last year when the Tsunami occured.
Actually it started by the 4th year university student from different universities built up the team to help people who needed power to do things such as building the houses, shools and ever more.
U volunteer belongs to Thai government and the government supports u volunteer as well.

I am one of them by now. Last week I apply for the student who is going to attend the "1 year in the memory of tsunami" and I got the position taking care of the leaders of the other countries. Then the ceremony is going to be held in Phuket, Phanggha, Ranong, and some other places. We went on the bus for 2 days and 2 nights on the bus. We surveyed the location and talked about our different duties. Before that we had an orientation with people who involved from the tsunami such as Dr. Porntip and even more.
I am proud to be one of the members of U volunteer. They always say that you have to be proud of yourself to be a part of us because not everyone who wish to be could be but not many of us who contain those abilities and also heart to be a u volunteer. November 16 +=_*"^"*_=+ A Thai Tradition +=_*"^"*_=+Last night was a Loy Kra Thong festival holding in my university, here at Silpakorn. I had been busy since noon til at 6.30 in the evening. The concept of the festival was in Ayudhaya period. People from different faculty dressed up in that period of time. We had a parade and also Nopphamad competition. Yok, the Nopphamad from our major won the position "Popular Vote" and her BF gave her a serprise by turned up here, travelling from Bangkok to here is not that too far but the point is she's happy that her BF came to visit her unexpectively. ++++++++++++++++++++ Early yesterday's morning, I went to Tabkaew( the other campus of my university) for interviewing to be a part of the tsunami's 1st year ceremony. Due to the December I have to go Southern part of Thailand to probably look after the VIP guesses who come from the other countries. I'm looking forward to be that person. The interview was a bit tough but I ran it quite smooth. They say the result will come up as soon as it can. I wish to pass through though. ++++++++ Lastly, if someone out here had a chance to watch a film called Puen Sa nit. There's a scene that KaiYoy and Dakanda went to the Ghanwat festival and had Ya-Dong together. It's the same as last night, because me and my friends went to the bar like that(on the foothpath) held in the Loy Kra Thong festival. It called Ya Dong Ya. I had 4 shots and got drunk easily. That's why I still got a headache by now. Hopefully, I can go to hua-Hin tonight to support my friends who are going to attain the parade during the Loy Kra Thong festival against the other universities. |
